2468 RFI Filters

The ACT2468 is a powerful 1Amp rated RFI filter specifically designed for use on any DC troublesome alarm circuit cable. They are particularly beneficial where data corruption occurs to keypads and LIM’s. They can be used to attenuate RFI interference to alarm detectors and sounders.
The ACT2468 will work on 12V and 24VDC, normally closed, End-of-Line, iD and fire alarm circuits. They can also be used to attenuate RFI on DC access control circuits.

The filter offers virtually no resistance to DC circuits but will substantially attenuate RFI signals between 2.5MHz - 800MHz making them quicker and more cost effective than rewiring in screened cable. The filter is supplied as 1 x 8way block, which can be snapped apart to make 2 x 4ways or 4 x 2ways as required, hence the name ACT2468.

Troublesome alarm cabes (e.g. 12v/data) should be removed from the panel, keypad or LIM terminals and connected to the INPUT side of the filter. A short cable should then be conneced between the OUTPUT side of the filter and the panel, keypad or LIM terminals. Size: 4 x 41.5(L) x 11(W)mm.
