Once connected to the resistance circuit under test, hidden cables can be followed behind plaster, under carpets or floorboards etc. All manner of devices including magnetic contacts, motion and shock detectors can be audibly tested for normal resistance changes and resistance faults. Damaged cables, joint boxes and tamper switches can be tap-tested to audibly identify changing or intermittent resistance faults. Verifier is an essential tool for the busy installer who needs to locate resistance faults first time. Applications include; verifying first-fix installations, take-overs, commission, maintenance and troubleshooting.
N.B. The main difference between the ACT Verifier and ACT 620K is the 620K sends a constant tone down the cable for cable tracing only, whereas the Verifier sends a variable pitch tone for cable tracing AND resistance fault finding.
